Eating out
I love going to Chinese buffets. Sure, the food can be good, but I like it for the entertainment value.
One restaurant, since closed, used to be a favorite lunchtime haunt of both me and a friend. His trips to the bar became a running joke; "If I quit now, I won't be miserable." Followed, of course, by another trip and then complaints about eating too much. Our favorite entertainment part was the music. It was generally traditional-sounding Asian music, but once in a while they'd mix in something else. It can mess with your senses (not to mention get you really tickled) to hear "She'll Be Comin' 'Round the Mountain" or "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" sung in Chinese.
The food signs are great too. We went to one today for lunch, and selecting my favorite food titles was easy. First would have to be the bacon-wrapped carmeat. The second was the blue carb (which looked suspiciously like grilled chicken, but I digress). The third was the greamed chicken. I was afraid to try the carmeat (didn't know cars were made of meat) and I didn't know how you "greamed" a chicken. I also wasn't aware that carbs came in colors.
You gotta love this place!

You are a brave man, doghouse! Maybe your new motto should be: Can't read it... shouldn't eat it.

Deanna I have to agree, "can't say don't eat it"! I love chinese restaurants, but I stick to the shrimp and veggie's, can't mistake that.

Dr. Wifey, there's a Chinese restaurant that I never liked (but everyone else I knew did). I always wanted to put a "we accept strays" sign in their window!
Wife, gross. I used to eat there a lot.
