Got Mad Towel Skillz
What was my most anticipated nightly event of the cruise?? Hands down, the towel animals! Yes, It takes very little to amuse me. Every night was like Christmas. Clear the way, it's 6:00 turn down and mamma's running back to her stateroom to see what critter is sharing her bed.
So you can imagine my horror as I walked in to discover Monkey parts strewed all over the room. Towel animals hanging from the ceiling apparently have a very limited shelf life. . As disappointed as I was in missing my Monkey, the spirits were lifted upon reading of the impending "Towel Animal Folding Class". Oh yeah! Mamma is stepping up her game, towel animals for everyone!!
The next day after a few rounds of "pig bingo" and the "Newly Wed/ Not-so Newly Wed Game" It was game on! With towels in hand, I didn't even care I was wearing a skirt. I plopped down on the Americana Lounge stage and commence to folding and rolling. Lots of people dropped out as soon as Becca said, "What you need to do is put the towel in your teeth and roll it up while sucking up your spit." Did that stop me and Black Betty??? Heck Naw!
Oh yeah, at the end of our class we could make an entire zoo of towel animals.
Once we finally made it home I raided the linen closet. A different animal was awaiting each family member as they came home one by one.
The kids of course loved it and required a mini-mom taught class later that night. The husband on the other hand thought it was the most useless, hysterical talent he had ever seen. I do believe I will take his advice. Keeping my hidden talent a secret, I will randomly leave towel animals as a calling card in restrooms of family and friends. I'll be the Towel Animal Bandit!
(That don't make me a bad girl) he he he

did you leave out the "put it in your teeth and roll it up while sucking up your spit" part in your mini-class??
cool!
Cute!! Love the swan. LOL
what in the world is that thing on M's bed????? Looks like a seductive pig or something....
I've never seen someone so excited over something as you were over this. LOL!!
But that doesn't make you a bad girl.
Hey Christy,
What cute towel origami! Did you see the DVDs on towel origami? You can get them at www.FoldingMagic.com/
WAY better than the books on towel origami. They have, or at least had, a special going on where you could save a couple of dollars on the DVD purchase if you use code "wonderful" at checkout. You might have a new career in towel folding.
Take care.
J
I know what you'll be doing at our next Moms Squad meeting...
