McDelightful Monday

I first fell in love with Kyle Chandler when he played Buddy in Pure Country. I was all about 15 years old or so at the time. Then he faded into the back ground making small appearances in sitcoms. Then...he showed up on MY show! When he played Dylan Young the sexy bomb tech on Grey's Anatomy I dang near cried when they killed him off! I really think he would have been a perfect McMan for their show...

Oh well...

Here are your top 5 little known facts about Kyle Chandler:

1.His favorite sport is Baseball.

2.Kyle married Katherine Kyl in 1995. They have 2 daughters, Sawyer and Sydney.

3.He has a dog named Otis (After Otis Redding) and another dog named Buckley

4.He was one of People Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive, 2006. He was named "Sexiest Team Leader"

5.Kyle's older brother, Brian, is a successful Attorney in Texas. He is usually a role model for his brother when needs to play a lawyer.

A Friend's Time?

What does it mean to be a friend? As I grow older my philosophy on friendship seems to be changing with every passing year. Do we change the way we look at friendships as we get older or do our friends change?

This has been on my mind recently as I make out my ever growing Christmas card list. The names I read all have a good memory associated with them, a time which is near and dear to my heart. After reading the list it concerns me that with a select few of them I feel as though it’s a one sided effort to remain connected.

Time is such a precious gift. When I receive a present, a card, or even a phone call from a friend I am thankful that someone took time out of their day to think about me.

My question is this, When do you stop attempting to bridge the gap?

It's a Colorful World..

Well we now have paint on the walls and it is beginning to look like a real house. I have started imagining my furniture layout. It seems now that all of the "pretty" touches are going into the house I am catching a large case of the hurry up and gitterdones! I am so ready to get in there and become new house diva. It looks though as I will have to wait a few more weeks before I can adopt my new title.

Just in case you want to see, (and I know how you do)here's a few pictures..

Wah Wah!!

Once again I feel as though I have cheated the angel of death. I really need to get on some vitamins. My body seems to absorb any sickness which is lingering around for the taking. Today I am still under the weather, but I refuse to miss another day of work. I am now eating into my holiday vacation time as it is with the time I have already missed this week. That in itself just makes the whole thing that much more worse! Yes, I am crying about it. The pain I am in, and the vacation time. . .

Now that I am done with my one free Wah Wah card, I will be turning it in now.....

My Hot Lunch Date

Last night, I came home from work, put down my stuff and begun to help cook dinner. My son sat at the bar while the adults were standing around making idle chit chat about the day. As I turned to empty the water from the noodles, the little man said, "Momma will you come eat with me tomorrow?" I stopped thought about it for a minute and said, "Sure Buddy." I went about my way not thinking much about it until lunch time today. I showed up at the school at promptly 12:00,and to my surprise, it was Thanksgiving Feast Day!

One by one every little Indian and Pilgrim filed into the cafeteria to get their lunch. It was a fun time, and I was glad I unknowingly accepted his invitation.

The Wedding.

Yes, I officially made it through what I like to call heck week. There were only a few tears, two formal dresses, 2,000 flowers, lots of pictures taken, and two majorly swollen feet. Both events, Mistletoe & The Wedding, turned out to be perfect.

As promised here are a few shots from the wedding...

The sanctuary turned out beautiful, not that it needed much in the first place.

24 Hours And Counting...

So here's a small walk through the past 24 hours in "Christyvision" with the help of my nerd bling:

My truck was completely loaded down

We got there at our 4:30 dock time

and.....we realize at that point we have no ladder. So ingenuity became rampant. Alas "Table Ladder" Say hi Jennifer!!!!

I am not sure who invented carpet tape, but they apparently had longer fingernails then Jennifer & I...

After 3 hours of hanging garland..I am sure we set the record for longest garland application time (which was also pointed out by our neighbor when he ducked in to say thank you for making him look fast) we noticed two of the trees were WAY too tall... Did I mention ingenuity was at work???

After working 4 and a half hours we still did not complete the booth..

So I got up early, dropped off my little man...

and back it's back to work for me. I am headed back to the Trademart. Then I got a hot date for lunch, a dentist appointment for my daughter, then I gots ta get my hair did, then it's off to the preview gala tonight!

Check back and I'll try to post more pictures today!!!

By BLOG broke and it hurts!

Some yayhoo broke the FTP portion of my MOM's BLOG...So I have pictures to post and no where to put them ...so.

I'll just post ans see when they show up.

This is how the day started. Goats apparently ransacked my desk leaving behind tons of valuable paperwork they should have shredded..

Thanks to the MOM I have "nerd bling" which allows me to download pictures on the fly! Thanks mom!

I have spent the entire week painting and crafting now my fingers are burnt from hot glue and I ruined my favorite beeter with poster paint while painting this and other canvases! GAH!

I still have to finish the Bro's Rehearsal Dinner invites and get them in the mail today..

Still I need prayers and drinks! Hopefully they'll get my BLOG back up soon!

Hey Y’all Watch This!

Hey Y’all Watch This!

A phrase synonymous with one person who is calling attention to themselves while making a decision to attempt something utterly impossible.Usually that "something" will also have less than a 2% success rate.

This week, which we will call heck week here forth, has been dreaded by me for the past two months. Why has my BLOG been so silent the past few days? No, I was not kidnapped by aliens again, although I have been feeling a little out of my mind. Actually I have been battening down the hatches and assembling an army for a week that promises to test the very limits of any living being.

This week I will attempt a fete which has never been done before (by me). I will be attempting to decorate, coordinate, meet, greet and run a Mistletoe Market Place booth for The Clarion Ledger all while planning, decorating, directing, hosting and participating in my brother’s wedding and rehearsal, and posting BLOGS all within a 96 hour time window. How am I gunna do all of this you ask?, with my big girl panties, a laptop, a small borrowed photo card reader and lots and lots of praying. So sit back, hang on, and look for pictures! I may be too busy to write, but I can bring you along by way of photography!

Oh, and. . . .

Hey Y’all Watch This!
